2.
what do you think about your domestic electronic music scene?
The german electronic music scene is very active, with a lot of interesting bands. There is a lot to here and a lot to do. I however regret that there were not more people showing up at concert or interested in these bands. It seems that Germany is producing a lot of very good electronic music, but not always listening to it. |

3.
what do you think about north american electronic music scene?
This is difficult to say, since with the use of the internet and the global distribution circuit, little difference can be made. I would say, maybe, that the electronic scene in Europe is more coherent and innovative, while the music coming from the USA is often more "extreme" and fun. |
4.
do you know the japanese electronic music scene? And are you interested
in it?
Very
little. The first japanese bands I came accross were noise bands (Merzbow,
MSBR...). I then listened to a japanese band called Contagious Orgasm
(website at http://plaza26.mbn.or.jp/%7Esssm),
which I like a lot. |

5.
what do you think about future of electronic music environment/scene?
I think it has to evolve and not be afraid of a crossbreed with other genres. There are interesting bands doing non-electronic music, and you have to mix both of them to get something that will appeal to everybody. Then, even if it never gets "mainstream", interesting electronic music is here to stay, constantly evolving and finding new sounds and moods. @ |
6.
do you have any interests in current music scene?
Definitely. I write for my magazine, so I am constantly listening to new music, mostly electronic. @ |
