2.
what do you think about your domestic electronic music scene?
it's well developed in its diversity |
3.
what do you think about european electronic music scene?
nothing special - i don't make distinction where certain releases are from. distinctions are coming from the technology used and composing efforts which have been done. basically interesting, exciting and adventerous music is not a question of where somebody is located. an important source of interesting differences is the cultural background (or the backgrounds!) of a composer. economically the european market (incl. UK) for electronic music in general may be the best developed one. |

4.
what do you think about north american electronic music scene?
see above. |
5.
do you know the japanese electronic music scene?
i know very few things only. obviously shipping costs are a high barrier to the continous flow of releases, so japanese releases have an exotic touch to me. from what i know i like these things best that do reflect the cultural background @ |
6.
what do you think about future electronic music environment/scene?
thinking in past/ futures terms induces the imagination of a process of constant (and linear?) development. certain theoretic concepts from the 50s or 60s are still so "futuristic" if you compare them to most of the current output. today technology provides such powerful composing tools, but this comes on the 'price' of very high 'freedom grades' which makes it hard to use these tools sensefully. @ |
7.
do you have any interests in current music scene?
sure. @ |
