KORG Z1& Crazy French Postman

KORG-Z1.jpg

(English below)

I've been using a synthesizer called KORG Z1 and I bought the another one (seond hand) again to use it in Paris. And I sent it to Paris when i was in Japan. Then I remember what happened last time when i asked PROGRESSIVE FOrM to send my albums... so I told myself that "I'm lucky if i could get it in Paris". I tried to think this way when i sent this synthesizer this time. Actually i sent it to Paris in order to get it when i arrive there but i couldn't get any notice from Post office. I knew that French postman never bring it which is over 25kg to my room, so i thought i'll get some notice paper from them, but not.
Then yesterday, a man(I've never seen him before) came to my roon and asked "Are you AOKI takamasa?" and i said yes, then he told me that he picked up my incredibly heavy package and put it in his room because he found it in hall way of this apartment. I was surprised when i heart that, but i could easily imagined what stupid French postman did when he brought my synthesizer here. He brought it to this apartment, but he couldn't identify my complicated Japanese name and he didn't want to bring it back to his truck, then he decided to leave it there... I went to pick it up and said thank you to the man, but he looked strange and he said "I picked it up and kept it here for you!" many times, then i knew what he meant. He wanted some money for what he did for me and he showed me his hand. then i gave him handshake many times :-) and i went back to my room.
I opened the case then i knew it but it was wet because of the rain the day before... Now I'm trying to make it dry but i hope it works... I hate french post men..

Just reading throughout your blog about your misadventures in Paris (and the rest of France) is so... well, I can only sympathize, you seem to have known tough times, but on the other hand, it's so cliché, both in and off itself, that I can't but laugh while reading it.
French Posts really is another world to contemplate upon and remember why life is good in the one we live in. I just hope all these bad experiences won't have you lose all faith in us french people.

One shadow of a bit of advice: seems like people around you are giving you the "rich japanese kid treatment". Don't let yourself be socially cornered into this (though, reading you, I bet you'll just be allright).

If your KORG happen not to be working, best thing I can think off is using the "médiateur de la république" (http://www.mediateur-de-la-republique.fr/) in conjunction with pressure/help from your embassy. Should be faster and a little less painful (though not painless) than the hell of admisnitrative lawsuits.
Hope it can prove useful.

Almost forgot what I came for in the first place:

THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC. It's so great, the textures are so beautiful, sometimes just so carressing, sensual in an odd way, not only as in "the vibration is caressing your body", but as much more like it's having your bones vibrating from the inside. Can't wait for my copy of "Simply Funk" to arrive (by the post T_T...).

Hello, MD². Thank you very much for your comment.

I understand what you meant in the first part :-) Please don't worry, I love French people and I honestly love their ways to live their life. We Japanese have a lot of things to learn from them. And I'm always trying to make the story funny, but my English is not good enough to make it so.. My English needs to be more improved.

Thank you very much for telling me that you liked my works. I'm so glad to hear that. I hope you can receive it soon ;-) and hope you like it. I think "simply funk" is one of my best works ever. Now I'm making new album at the moment, i hope you like it too. thanks again.

Hi Aoki,
I'm french and now studing in Japan. Everyday i found something amazing in Japan, like postman deliver on sunday for example.
When i read your story i can only apologize for the stupidity of this postman and your neighbour. Asking money for the sevice is really amazing.

Dimitri

thanks for your comment.
You don't have to feel sorry for that:-) Now it is just a funny story for me. My KORG works perfect and there's no problem.
thanks for telling me that.

It was sad to hear that you couldn't come to Yamaguchi.
Actually, it was one of the best show for me and I'm quite sure
about it. I hope i can visit Fukuoka or Yamaguchi again to
perform someday soon.
hope to see you soon. thanks
